The red-veined darter (Sympetrum fonscolombii) is a dragonfly found across much of central and southern Europe, including the Mediterranean islands, North Africa, the Middle East, Mongolia, and parts of Asia. It has also been observed in northwest Europe, including Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Britain, and Ireland since the 1990s.
